Factors Assisting and Restricting the Integration of Third Country Nationals into the Labor Market, the Health Service and Education: An Anthropological Case Study of the City of Poznań

Research project no. 7/5/2008/EFI co-funded by the European Fund for the Integration of Third Country Nationals (EFI)

Duration:

1.01.2010-30.06.2010

Research team:

Project objectives:

The project aimed to fill an ‘empirical void’ on research concerning integration needs of immigrants in western Poland. The project focused on integration of citizens of so-called third country nationals, i.e. individuals from outside the European Union, who have come to Poznan. The research investigated their integration in three spheres: the labor market, healthcare, and education. The project provided practical recommendations for representatives of various public administration offices and non-governmental organizations assisting migrants; migration scholars; and migrants themselves.
