dr Robert Rydzewski
anthropologist and PhD candidate at the Department of Anthropology and Ethnology, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań
Research interests:
I am cultural anthropologist interested in migration, border regimes, social movements, and urban transformation in Southeastern Europe. My research focuses on the external borders of the European Union, primarily in Serbia, North Macedonia, and Poland. I examine migration routes, border-crossing strategies, the impact of migration on local communities and the concept of cooperation in the context of initiatives supporting migrants in Poland. Currently, I am researching the role of brokers in shaping migration routes from Latin America to Poland. Additionally, I have a keen interest in the anthropology of affect and the anthropology of sound.
I am the author of academic and popular science articles, expert reports for the NGO sector, and radio materials.
